The Kernal has an article today on the women's team talking about their looking for their first win over a ranked team. They've got a few possibilities including Georgia and Vandy as our first victim.

Man that Vandy game last year in Nashville really got me ticked off. I never seen a team get called for so many fouls in my life. I think Vandy had over 20 more free throw attemps then us. The big difference of the game (IMO)

I think we can knock them off this season if we can get some good play out of the "Fab Five" freshmans ! I think UGA, UT and LSU are going to be really tough, but we had the vols on the ropes last season and almost pulled it out . We got to learn how to finish these games.

I think the freshman do not know enough to be afraid. I think they will be more afraid of letting down Coach DeMoss than getting beat. We will get a better feel for the situation after the first couple games.

All it takes is the first one.

Once this team pulls off that first upset they'll get that mental edge that the top teams have.  I think the athletic and basketball skills are there.

Vandy is a possibility but Balcomb has that group well prepared...they click.  I think Georgia is a more likely target for an upset victory.  They have played inconsistently (either  due to injuries...Driskell and Felder both had to end their careers due to illness/injury...or to personnel issues...Kara Braxton was a punk.)  and while they have some talent in the post, that area is also very inexperienced.

I am really looking forward to adding Kentucky to the list of teams that I follow.
