it's still a little a bit early for the 2010-11 media guide to be finished.  Typically it's ready a few days before $EC basketball media days.

Anna Cole will be sitting out this year but will be playing for Northwestern next fall. Good luck to Anna!

I searched the UK athletics site and couldn't find the new downloadable media guide. There was a nice piece about it being the best media guide in the nation for the 2nd year but I couldn't find the guide itself. Does anyone know if they will be putting a the guide on the UK site for viewing?

LOL.  Adia is such a funny girl.  It is amazing how she does it at times.  I love it though because it just makes it that much harder for the defenders to stop her.  There really isn't a single explanation to how a player like her gets to the basket.  I think you could attribute most of it to the ability to predict what the defender is going to do along with solid ball handling and pure determination to not be denied.  I think Vic can master some of this too.  Those two will be a lot of fun to watch this season.  I think you will see a lot more interaction with them on the court as well as them making plays for one another.

I think you have some good points Astro.  I like the 2nd type of player personally.  Much guttsier and quite honestly that type has the potential to be much more memorable to their respective program, as well as to everyone else, than the first type. 

HoopGurlz recently released new rankings for this class and they have Bria Goss as the #17 player in the country and Azia as #34. Pretty nice!

 

The senior confessed she's been turning to teammates like SEC Freshman of the Year A'dia Mathies for tips and pointers.
"We play pickup and she's really good at making a move and getting to the basket and I'm like, 'How do you do that?'" Dunlap relayed.

Thanks for sharing. Hopefully Laney is the type of player that wants to be part of something new and exciting. Sounds like Kentucky has established a good relationship with her. If a basketball player wants to consider a school and town that lives, eats, and breathes basketball 24/7 365 there is not many better places that right here at UK. The women's team is already getting more attention and mentions in the local press and in converstations than I can ever remember. The success of the men's team now coupled with the recent success of the women's team makes this a fun place to be for the basketball fan.

Massengale note: ESPN did a piece on her being a "closet" Tennessee fan her whole life.
