Ramsey's - A Lexington original, Ramsey's has been serving Lexington folks for over 20 years. Try its original location at 496 East High Street. Food is southern and a basic meat-n-three. Marikka's - Located at 411 Southland Drive, Marikka's Restaurant und Beir Stube serves traditional German food and a wide selection of over 300 beers.
Natasha's - One of my personal favorites in Lexington. Natasha's serves an ecclectic mix of food - Mediterranean and Eastern European flavors strongly influence the menu. Full bar and vegetarian options available. At 108 Esplanade.
iChing - A good place for a more modern approach to Asian food. Items include Lettuce Wraps, Drunken Noodles, Kung Pao and vegetarian options.
Brooklyn Pizza - Dubbed my me as the best pizza in Lexington, don't go here if you're afraid of a little grease. The pepperoni pizza is the best. Salads are passable as they have fresh mozzerela. Click for location.
Puccini's - A chain restaurant out of Indiana, Puccini's serves a good selection of pizza, pasta and salad. Located at Chevy Chase Place on 833 High Street. Vegetarian options available.
Corky's - Memphis style BBQ chain restaurant. Two locations at 2300 Sir Barton Lane and 130 Tiverton Way.
Good Foods Coop - Homegrown organic and natural foods store, the restaurant is packed daily with people looking for alternatives to the typically heavy Lexington fare. Salad bar, hot bar, sushi and made-to-order sandwiches available. Entree options include a meat entree, vegetarian and vegan. Located at 455 Southland Drive.
Wild Oats - A chain natural/organic food store, Wild Oats has a salad bar, sandwiches and sushi. Located at 161 Lexington Green Circle.
Pazzo's - A favorite with the UK students, Pazzo's serves pizza and beer. Over 38 beers on tap, with more bottled/canned and a full bar. The Pesto Bread is cheap and filling. Vegetarian options available. Located on the corner of Euclid and S. Limestone.
Qdoba - A popular chain restaurant specializing in burritos and nachos using fresh ingredients. Also a big support of UK Athletics. Try their location on campus located at 265 East Euclic Avenue. Vegetarian options available.
Gold Star Chili - Gold Star serves 'Cincinnati style' chili. The rumoured secret ingredient is chocolate and chili and it's traditionally served on top of spaghetti or coneys. Try the location at Hamburg, located at 1900 Plaudit Place.
Mellow Mushroom - A chain of pizza restaurants out of Atlanta, Georgia, Mellow Mushroom is very popular with UK students. Wide selection of beer available. Vegetarian options available.
Tolly Ho's - A campus institution, Tolly Ho's is very popular with students as they stay out late. Restaurant is located on campus, open 24 hours and serves beer along with a tasty menu of basic greasy spoon diner food.
