About Lexington, Kentucky

Restaurants Hotels Shopping Activities

Central Kentucky is known for three things: basketball, horses and some of the finest bourbon in the world. Lexington serves as the focal point for all three. Lexington was originally founded as McConnell Springs. Fayette County was named in honor of one of the biggest American Revolution supporters, Marquis de Lafyette. Lexington was named after the 1775 battle at Lexington, Massachusetts.
